Customer Experience Monitoring: network and device Quality of Service

Most operators are unaware of their customers' experience of their network, they only see the network's experience of their customer. SIM based Customer Experience Monitoring allows operators to acquire KPIs that describe the performance of their network and dimension customer's experience of calls and data services by time of day, location, handset type, radio technology and many other parameters.

By crowd-sourcing data from the customer's (U)SIM card this solution revolutionizes the operator's understanding of their customer's actual experience of their device, home network, roaming networks, and competitors' networks. The KPIs generated enable operators to gain significant efficiencies from current network diagnostic resources and optimize their utilization to improve network performance, by highlighting network performance issues in near real time.

The application in the (U)SIM efficiently sends QoS KPIs to a cloud-based server. Here it can be accessed and evaluated by an operator's network team, through an intuitive web GUI, visually presenting network performance KPIs in graphical or tabular form, or overlaid onto Google maps. Alternatively the raw data can be extracted and handled via other existing analytical tools deployed by the operator.
