MorphoTrust enrolls over one million Americans in TSA Pre✓®

More than 4,000 People Sign Up for this Expedited Screening Program Each Day

Over one million people are now enrolled in the Transportation Security Administration's TSA Pre✓® program, MorphoTrust USA (Safran) said today. MorphoTrust, a leading provider of identity services and solutions, is a trusted partner of TSA and the sole enrollment services provider for TSA Pre✓®. MorphoTrust supports this increasingly popular program by enrolling approximately 4,000 people per day in its growing network of more than 330 TSA Pre✓® application centers, including locations at 31 airports and many IdentoGO® Centers by MorphoTrust.

TSA Pre✓® is an expedited screening program that enables low-risk travelers to experience faster, more efficient screening at 133 U.S. airports. TSA Pre✓® travelers may leave on their shoes, light outerwear and belt, keep their laptop in its case and their 3-1-1 compliant liquids/gels bag in a carry-on in select screening lanes. Since the vast majority of travelers pose little-to-no threat, TSA Pre✓® provides effective security while gaining efficiencies and improving the travel experience for a growing number of passengers every day.

"Today's milestone is a testament to consumer demand for convenient and expedient travel experiences," said Charles Carroll, senior vice president of enrollment services at MorphoTrust. "And while we celebrate the more than one million flyers who have enrolled to date and now experience the benefits of this program, we look forward to serving millions more as they enroll in TSA Pre✓® in the months to come."

"MorphoTrust is proud to have been a partner of the TSA for more than nine years, and to continue to support the rapid growth of this important program," said Bob Eckel, CEO of MorphoTrust. "Between our growing network of customer enrollment centers and our popular mobile enrollment programs, we are primed to further expand this program as its popularity continues."

Americans interested in enrolling in TSA Pre✓® are encouraged to begin the application process bypre-enrolling online and then making an appointment at a local center. Upon arrival, trained agents verify approved identity documents (a birth certificate or passport and another government issued ID) and obtain biographic information before live-scanning applicants' fingerprints and securely transmitting the application package to TSA for review. The agency completes the application vetting process and issues a Known Traveler Number (KTN) via mail once the application is approved. An applicant can check the status online by visiting https://universalenroll.dhs.gov/ and clicking on "Check Status." Applicants pay an $85 processing fee, which covers five years of access to TSA Pre✓®. The entire application process takes just a few weeks to complete.
