EcoVadis raises Morpho’s CSR ranking from silver to gold

Morpho (Safran) has earned further recognition for its corporate social responsibility (CSR) performance, moving from silver to gold in the ranking established by EcoVadis, the first collaborative platform providing supplier sustainability ratings to support responsible purchasing.

Following a two-month survey based on 80 criteria, Morpho has been named a "Gold partner", a ranking attributed to only 5% of the thousands of companies that have been audited across all business sectors. EcoVadis' analytics system covers four main areas: environment, fair labor practices, ethics/fair business practices and supply chain.

Morpho is also enhancing its CSR performance through a partnership with Ecologic, an "eco-organization" dedicated to the recovery, recycling and reuse of electrical and electronic equipment.

Certified by the French government as an eco-organization, Ecologic is a non-profit organization delivering services of public interest for companies and people, through the collection, decontamination and reuse of electrical and electronic equipment in France. For example, in 2014, Morpho recycled nearly 20 metric tons of this type of equipment in France, with a material recycling rate of 78%.

Morpho's partnership with Ecologic will improve monitoring of electrical and electronic recycling, and also help plan ahead to meet evolving regulations in this area.
