CTX 9800 DSI Explosives Detection System

The CTX 9800 DSi meets ECAC Standard 3 and is the first TSA-certified high-throughput, high-resolution 3D EDS available on the market today.

Using the innovative Clarity Data Acquisition System, the CTX 9800 DSi generates unprecedented imaging for screening checked bags.

OPTIONS AND ACCESSORIES

The MUX network connects multiple CTX 9800, 9400 and 9000 DSi systems and multiple CTX Operator Workstations into a single network.

MUXv1 and MUXv2

The MUX network removes the traditional one-to-one relationship between a CTX system and an operator, so that screeners can perform On-Screen Threat Resolution at any Threat Resolution Interface (TRI) viewing station. This can add efficiency and cost savings to baggage screening operations by optimizing the use of screeners in a centralized screening environment. Each MUX network includes a Control Interface (CI) computer, which allows single-point access to all the control, configuration, and monitoring functions for each system in the network.

MUXv1 is capable of networking CTX 9400 and CTX 9000 series scanners, while MUXv2 networks the recently released CTX 9800. The ability for MUXv2 to network the entire CTX 9x00 (9800,9400,9000) series line will be available shortly.

This equipment enables cost-effective operator training and testing with minimal disruption of normal system operations.It can be set up in a quiet environment, conducive to optimal learning and does not require real bags, improvised explosive devices (IEDs), or false alarm (FA) objects.

TIP Volume: Premier Installation/Maintenance Service

Threat Image Projection (TIP) randomly injects virtual images of bags containing explosives into normal operations to test and record an operator's ability and alertness. Used as a training and verification tool, TIP allows operators to practice alarm resolution skills and enables supervisors to monitor operator performance. This feature makes it possible for customers to measure overall threat detection capabilities.

  • Each volume contains 200 bag images 
  • 1 year license

Hardware
Operators of the CTX 9000 DSi Training Simulator can learn and practice alarm resolution skills away from the scanner, in a quiet and convenient classroom setting. The simulator allows standardized testing to obtain valid performance measurements. The system is ideal for new operator training and current operator conditioning.
