TWIC compliant biometric readers

Sagem Morpho’s line of TWIC compliant biometric readers includes the Outdoor MorphoAccess™ 521 TWIC, the Indoor MorphoAccess™ 521 TWIC for point of entry and the MorphoCheck™ handheld biometric reader for mobile identification.

The MorphoAccess™ TWIC readers meet the latest Transportation Security Administration (TSA) implementation requirements for the Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) program. These point of entry readers are designed to use TWIC Privacy Keys (TPK) to read encrypted biometric data, such as a digital fingerprint, perform the match to the card holder and perform an active card authentication across a contactless interface.

The MorphoCheck™ handheld reader, created with our partner Psion Teklogix, is able to electronically verify TWIC credentials. In the future, the MorphoCheck™ will also be able to verify other credentials based on the FIPS 201 data model, including PIV, CAC (Common Access Card) and FRAC (First Responder Access Credential).

Sagem Morpho’s TWIC solutions meet all of the latest requirements of the TWIC Reader Hardware and Card Application Specification Version 1.1 Amendment 1, published May 30th, 2008.
