The Hong Kong Jockey Club chooses Sagem Sécurité gaming terminals

Paris, September 23, 2008

Sagem Sécurité (SAFRAN Group) has announced its selection by the Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC), in an international call for tenders, to supply, install and maintain 2,000 new generation gaming terminals to support HKJC's ongoing business, as supplier of a custom-tailored terminal derived from the Sagem S8 family.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club carried out a series of demanding tests that spotlighted the qualities of the S8, in particular its innovative design, secure transaction capability and user-friendliness. Modular and versatile, the S8 terminal matches the environment at sales outlets, and can be used as a stand-alone terminal or with an operator. The terminal's software will be developed in partnership with the company LotSys*. Sagem Sécurité was able to tailor its product offering to meet the Hong Kong Jockey Club's requirements.

"We are both proud and honored to be chosen by the very prestigious Hong Kong Jockey Club," said Jean-Paul Jainsky, Chairman and CEO of Sagem Sécurité. "And we sincerely hope that this is only the beginning of a long and fruitful relationship, one that will bolster our presence in the market for gaming and betting terminals."

Capitalizing on its considerable investment in Research & Development, Sagem Sécurité is a major global player in the market for gaming terminals. With more than 180,000 terminals deployed to date, Sagem Sécurité has proven its ability to deliver innovative turnkey solutions that meet the requirements of lottery organizations around the world.
