Morpho Detection Receives Fourth TSA Order for Next-Gen Itemiser® DX Explosives Trace Detection System

Newark, Calif. – Dec. 20, 2010 – Morpho Detection, Inc., part of Morpho, Safran group's security business, today announced the fourth delivery order awarded under the Itemiser DX® Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) base contract from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Transportation Security Administration (TSA) for more than 1,200 additional Itemiser DX desktop explosives trace detection (ETD) systems.

The TSA delivery order, valued at more than $32 million, follows the largest single unit order in company history received last summer. Morpho Detection was awarded the base contract as a result of a competitive solicitation and evaluation process.This delivery order under the IDIQ base contract brings the total number of Itemiser DX units purchased by TSA to more than 2,800 for a total value of more than $80 million.
