Sagem Sécurité introduces a new parking payment solution, Stamtel

During the recent "Parkopolis" trade show in Paris, Sagem Sécurité unveiled its latest innovative parking payment solution: Stamtel.

Stamtel is a uniquely advantageous service that allows drivers to pay for street parking with their mobile phones. All they have to do is open an account at one of the city partner's sales outlets, or via Internet at

Parked cars are checked by city staff with wireless PDAs, enabling them to interrogate the server in real time to see if the car should receive a parking ticket.

With its new Stamtel service, Sagem Sécurité is establishing a position as a pioneer in tomorrow's urban electronic parking management systems, which could be deployed very shortly.
